Community Participation
Ince Rose Bridge Sports and Community Club benefit's the community in a variety of ways that include: -
Cheap and affordable sporting activities to people living in an area of social and economic deprivation.
An increase in both the physical and mental health of the participants
An increase in community spirit through offering activities that appeal to a wide section of the community (including young women and retired people) and through helping bridge the gap between voluntary community activity and schools (through offering free coaching in schools).
Other Benefits to the community
Employment for 13 local people in an area of social and economic deprivation.
The club has provided a significant resource to the whole of the community in Ince and even though it has an excellent record in encouraging young people into sport the facility has enabled the club to build on this success by promoting healthy and active lifestyles, developing the skills and confidence of young people and in so doing helping them contribute towards the sense of community spirit and develop a sense of responsibility for their community. The facility has also encouraged girls and young women to participate who may have otherwise felt inhibited by the lack of suitable changing facilities.
Working closely with local schools by providing free coaching and access to the new facilities will help to continue to strengthen the links that have developed between the club and local schools.
The clubhouse incorporates a bar/social area and multi-use community room that encourages people from all sections of the Club and Community including children, teenagers and older people to socialise. The multi-use community room is available for a wide range of community events, activities, and functions and has provided an invaluable resource in an area where community facilities are already running to capacity.
